The Department of Defense’s Biometrics Identity Management Agency (BIMA) has exercised the second option year with modifications on the Ideal Innovations Inc. (I-3) Technology Management task order under the Biometrics Operations and Support Services – Unrestricted (BOSS-U) contract. The cumulative value of the contract is now $30.5 million.

For the third year of the contract, I-3 will support the Technology Management aspects of the BOSS-U program, including providing biometric examinations for iris, latent print, tenprint, face and palms for samples submitted to the DoD’s Automated Biometric Identification System (ABIS). I-3 staffs 55 employees on this contract, and they primarily work at the BIMA facility in Clarksburg, W.V.

BIMA awarded I-3 this project in March 2010 as part of the BOSS-U Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract. The contract has a three-year base period with two one-year options. The total contract ceiling is $497 million.
