Digital Identification Solutions AG, a German-based provider of identification solutions, has appointed Sandro Camilleri as its new CEO and member of its board of directors.
Camilleri comes to Digital Identification Solutions (DISO) from Matica Systems S.p.a, which in July became the majority shareholder of DISO. Camilleri helped found Matica, an international provider of card personalization systems.
A graduate of the European Business School in London, Camilleri has ten years of experience in the ID card issuing industry, including stints in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
Camilleri’s initial plans include continuing the integration of DISO with Matica.
In an e-mail to employees, DISO management said that Matica’s products, particularly its high-end products for central issuance, could complement DISO’s current portfolio and that the integrated company’s revenues could reach $50 million this year.
