Digital Angel announced that its Destron Fearing unit has signed a contract extension with Intervet/Schering-Plough Animal Health to provide syringe and RFID microchip systems and readers.

A partner since 1994, Intervet/Schering-Plough Animal Health markets Destron Fearing companion pet products under the HomeAgain brand. The terms of the contract were not disclosed, except that the extended agreement runs through Dec. 31, 2011.

Since supplying products to support the HomeAgain pet recovery system Intervet/Schering-Plough Animal has recovered more than 600,000 lost pets.
