Denizbank, a private bank with 588 branches in Turkey, has joined Turkcell’s Cep-T Cuzdan platform, enabling its customers to make contactless payments with their NFC-enabled handsets.

Customers can now apply for the service via SMS, and Denizbank will provision them a prepaid mobile account that can be used wherever MasterCard PayPass contactless payments are accepted. According to Denizbank, customers’ payment accounts will be transferred to their NFC phones at no extra cost.

Denizbank joins Akbank, Yapi Kredi and Garanti Bank as the fourth major Turkish bank to support Cep-T Cuzdan mobile payments.
