DecisionOne, a provider of IT management solutions, has announced it is offering a new biometric physical access control solution designed for use with data centers.

The new solution, which was developed with biometric technology developer Digitus Biometrics and enables centrally managed access control over entire data centers as well as specific cages and racks housing equipment.

The system also keeps an audit trail of who accesses anything as specific as individual servers or other devices. In addition to offering the actual product, DecisionOne is also offering associated services such as an access control assessment, biometric hardware and software design, implementation and testing, training, support and onsite maintenance.
