A new tech-focused development in downtown Dayton, Ohio, is hoping to become a haven for RFID entrepreneurs and small start-ups. The Dayton RFID Convergence Center (RCC), which is scheduled to open in July, is accepting applications to fill ten to fifteen spaces for RFID research and development.

The Dayton RCC is located in the Creative Technology Accelerator Building, part of a 30-acre technology-focused business park in downtown Dayton called TechTown. The TechTown development was begun in 2007 in a joint effort by the city of Dayton and a private investment group.

The 17,000 square foot RCC facility offers office and laboratory space for small start-ups employing two to five people each. In addition to the ten to fifteen spaces for those smaller companies, the TechTown development has other space available to work with an additional ten companies involved in RFID development.
