Codebench Inc. announced that Intercede, a provider of identity and credential management software, has integrated its MyID system with Codebench’s IDSync software development kit to make MyID compatible with more than 25 different physical access control systems. The addition of the IDSync SDK eliminates the need for Intercede to write its own interfaces for a range of physical access control systems.

MyID is a device independent system that can issue a range of smart cards, contactless cards and smart phones for physical and logical access. The Web-based console enables delegated management of physical and logical access rights from a single central system, providing the benefits of local control with centralized policy and auditing.

MyID manages the secure registration and verification of identities and issuance and lifecycle management of devices and credentials. It is used by 14 U.S. federal agencies, has issued two million smart cards for TWIC and manages hundreds of thousands of smart corporate identity badges for organizations such as Boeing, Lockheed Martin and Booz Allen Hamilton.

IDSync offers a solution for both commercial and government users by providing support for DESFire, proximity, and other legacy credentials as well as a full range of PIV, PIV-I, and CIV credentials.

When combined with one of the PIVCheck high assurance reader solutions, IDSync can help Federal agencies align their PACS infrastructure with the Federal Identity, Credential and Access Management roadmap.
