Identification and access control reader manufacturer RF IDeas Inc. has announced that its pcProx line of card readers now enables users to be compliant with the new Criminal Justice Information Service (CJIS) Security Policy.

The new CJIS policy requires agencies and individuals who need access to the CJIS information network to have an Advanced Authentication system by September 2013. The new security regulations protect the CJIS database against those seeking unauthorized access.

RF IDeas’ pcProx and pcProx Plus lines of card readers can support more than 45 different types of 125 kHz proximity and 13.56 MHz contactless smart card credentials.
