BIO-key International and Lumidigm have deployed a biometric health care solution to Genesis HealthCare System.

The new solution enabled doctors and pharmacists working in the Genesis HealthCare System to be able to electronically prescribe controlled medications in-line with the DEA required two-factor authentication in a quick and secure fashion.

Moreover, With Lumidigm’s multispectral fingerprint sensors, issues such as rough, dry skin, aged skin or damaged prints don’t impede the ability to authenticate as it scans sub-surface fingerprints. Beyond assisting and securing the e-prescription process, the new solution is integrated with all major electronic medical records software suites ans single sign-on providers.
