Argus Global has partnered with ievo, a developer of fingerprint solutions, to bring its fingerprint sensors to Argus’ line of fingerprint-based products.

The ievo series of fingerprint readers utilizes Lumidigm’s sub-surface multispectral fingerprint scanning that authenticates a user by the fingerprint pattern. It also makes it less likely to be impeded by skin condition and extreme environmental factors than traditional fingerprint scanners.

The IP65 rated readers are marketed for environments like construction sites and are set to be used in a multi-million pound project to secure the Scottish National Arena at the Commonwealth Games in 2014.
