AdvanIDe introduces new European sales director

AdvanIDe, a provider of semiconductors for the smart card and RFID industry, has introduced Erik Steger as the company’s new sales director for Europe and South Africa.
Steger will will work with Holger Roessner, managing director at the company. As a sales director, Steger’s primary responsibility will be to monitor AdvanIDe sales activities throughout Europe and South Africa as well as oversee local procurement and customer service at the company’s Walluf, Germany offices.
Steger — who earned his bachelor’s degree in business communication from Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen in Nijmegen, the Netherlands — has a track record in the industry, beginning his career as an account manager and business development manager with Oberthur Card Systems.
His most recent professional endeavor saw him take on the role of group sales director at Optaglio. In his time at Optaglio, Steger began in project and account management and eventually headed business development for the company’s banking and financial sector.
Prior to Optaglio, Steger worked for L1 Identity Solutions where he operated as director of EMEA sales. Steger also held the position of sales director for German Federal State Printing House, Bundesdruckerei, where he oversaw business development in Asia and the Middle East.
